Tacky Step Mats are comprised of your choice of 30 or 60 layers of anti-microbial adhesive coated film that effectively removes unwanted dirt and particulate from shoes and equipment wheels. Tacky Step Mats leave no residue on your shoe or wheels. As foot traffic or wheels pass over the surface of the mat, the non-transferring adhesive locks onto dirt and captures it. When the exposed layer is completely used, simply peel it off to expose a new clean layer.
Tacky Step Mats are mounted on a patented non skid plastic frame/base that allows the mat to be moved without sticking to the floor, and no messy sticky adhesive buildup to clean. The frame mat can be easily relocated to high traffic areas and removed during routine floor maintenance procedures.
Placing a tacky mat in high traffic areas and main entrances will significantly decrease the amount of dust and dirt that is tracked in from foot-traffic and equipment wheels. These sticky mats will reduce maintenance and cleaning costs and prolong the life of floor finishes and carpets.
Many cleanrooms require tacky mats in most facilities to reduce the amount of cross contamination from foot traffic and equipment being wheeled into the cleanroom. Tacky mats can remove over 99% of surface contamination from wheels and foot traffic.
